National Geospatial Policy
The National Geospatial Policy 2022 aims to position India as a global leader in the geospatial sector by 2035. It focuses on democratizing data, promoting innovation, and supporting Atmanirbhar Bharat through modern mapping technologies.
National Geospatial Mission
The Government has announced the National Geospatial Mission in Union Budget 2025-26 to develop foundational geospatial infrastructure and data across the country, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh, to facilitate modernization of land records, urban planning and design of infrastructure projects.
National Data Governance Framework Policy
The Draft National Data Governance Framework Policy aims to ensure that non-personal data and anonymized data from both Government and Private entities are safely accessible by Research and Innovation eco-system. The policy aims to provide an institutional framework for data/datasets/metadata rules, standards, guidelines and protocols for sharing of non-personal data sets while ensuring privacy, security and trust.
National Deep Tech Startup Policy
The National Deep Tech Startup Policy (NDTSP) aims to address the challenges confronting deep tech startups through definitive policy interventions to create a conducive ecosystem. Acknowledging the key significance of deep technology in propelling innovation, economic growth, and societal development, the NDTSP lays the foundation for India’s emerging Deep Tech Startup ecosystem.
National Clean Air Programme (NCAP)
The National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) aims to tackle air pollution across India through comprehensive and time-bound strategies. Launched in 2019 by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, it targets a 20–30% reduction in PM₂.₅ and PM₁₀ levels by 2026 (with 2017 as the base year). The NCAP focuses on strengthening air quality monitoring, implementing city-specific action plans, enhancing public awareness, and promoting clean technologies to create a sustainable and cleaner environment for all.
Digital India Mission
The Digital India Mission aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Launched on 1st July 2015 by the Government of India, it focuses on ensuring digital access, digital infrastructure, and digital literacy for all citizens. The mission envisions providing government services electronically, promoting e-governance, boosting digital entrepreneurship, and bridging the digital divide across urban and rural areas to create an inclusive, technology-driven India.
PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan
The PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan aims to transform India’s infrastructure landscape through integrated and coordinated planning across various sectors. Launched on 13th October 2021 by the Government of India, it brings together 16 ministries on a single digital platform for unified infrastructure development. The plan focuses on improving multi-modal connectivity, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing efficiency in transportation and supply chains, thereby boosting economic growth and job creation.
National Mission on Sustainable Habitat (NMSH)
The National Mission on Sustainable Habitat (NMSH) aims to make Indian cities sustainable through better planning, management, and efficient use of resources. Launched under the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the mission focuses on promoting energy-efficient buildings, sustainable urban transport, and scientific management of solid and liquid waste. NMSH seeks to enhance the resilience of urban areas to climate change while improving the quality of life for citizens through eco-friendly and inclusive urban development.
